The Wilder Museum of Warren County History and the Allegheny Tale Spinners are pleased to present the Winds of War in Warren County. This storytelling event will be held at 51 Erie Avenue in Irvine on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 6 p.m. The funding for this program is provided by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts through Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts grant program.
Allegheny Tale Spinners are a group of local storytellers that include Mark Davis, Debby Hornburg, Karin Davidson, Jeff Alan Johnson, and Alex Watkins who have an avid interest in local history and plenty of talent for telling historical stories. The group will gather for an evening of storytelling about the early settlers of Warren County and Native Americans, the French & Indian War, the Revolutionary War including the Battle of Bunker Hill, and the War of 1812 including the Battle of Lake Erie.
Grilled hot dogs, snacks, and beverages will be available during the evening. Proceeds will benefit the Wilder Museum of Warren County History.
