The Warren Girls Juniors' all-star tournament run met its end at the hands of a tough Punxsutawney team, Friday at Farm Colony Field B in North Warren.
A pair of nine-run innings by the visitors doomed Warren's chances in a 29-5 setback. Friday's loss, coupled with Thursday's loss in Saint Marys, ended the Girls Juniors postseason.
Despite the lopsided final, Warren did have its share of highlights, including a four-run fourth inning. Sequioa Eastman brought home two runs when a ball she put into play was mishanded by the Punxsy pitcher for an error. A sacrifice bunt attempt from Kelsey Kraft was also thrown away by the opposition, allowing two more runs to come home.
