After a strong 3-0 start to the postseason, the Warren Boys Majors all-star team lost its second straight game on Friday, ending its postseason run. Saint Marys was the team to ultimately eliminate Warren from play by a final score of 11-5.
The Saint Marys offense was hot right from the start, scoring four first-inning runs off Warren starting pitcher Jaydon Hayes.
Warren crawled back into the game after putting up one run in both the third and fourth innings.
Jimmy Kramer blasted a solo home run in the third to get Warren on the board and Austyn Cummings knocked in a run in the fourth on an RBI groundout after singles from Devin McMeans and Jackson Knupp helped set the table.
Saint Marys quickly dashed any hopes of a Warren comeback by putting up seven combined runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
Knupp capped off the scoring by smashing a three-run homer in the sixth.

In addition to the two long balls for Warren, the team recorded just three singles.
Hayes was the losing pitcher for Warren. Knupp and Derek Knapp each pitched in relief, recording three combined strikeouts.
