A former Warren County man was found not guilty Thursday on 12 charges related to sexual assault of a minor and guilty on two charges related to furnishing alcohol to the same minor.
Robert Michael Warner, Sr., Sinclairville, N.Y., was found not guilty of four charges of indecent assault, six charges of corruption of minors and one charge each of criminal attempt (involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child) and obscene and other sexual materials after just over an hour of deliberation in a jury trial before Judge Gregory Hammond.
Jurors did, however, find Warner guilty of one count each of sell/furnish liquor/malt/brewed beverage to minor and an accompanying corruption of minors charge.
Charges stem from alleged incidents which occurred from 2000 until 2010 while Warner lived in North Warren.
Warner was found not guilty of similar charges in two separate jury trials in Warren County before Judge William F. Morgan in 2008 and 2009.
