The inaugural Hatch Run Trail Trek 6k & walk, hosted by the Warren County Conservation District, will be held on Saturday, June 29.
The race features a unique cross country course through trails along Hatch Run, Simmons Run, and numerous farm fields in the 350-acre conservation area. Registration forms are available on the Conservation District website, www.wcconservation.net. The cost is $25, which includes a t-shirt upon availability. All proceeds of the race are going toward educational research at the Conservation District.
Medals will be given to the top three overall male and female runners. Ribbons will be awarded to the top male and female runners in each age group.
The Conservation District is open to the public for year-round activities, as well as being a classroom for land management and best management practices. The district is currently improving the trails and broken bridges along Hatch Run and Simmons Run.
