Students receive grant for WCCC

The Community Foundation of Warren County awarded a $5,000 grant to the five Warren County Career Center students who ranked in the top three statewide in competitions in their areas of specialization at SkillsUSA. The students presented the grant to the Career Center to fund leadership and learning opportunities which have been lost due to Warren County School District budget cuts. From left are Dan Passmore, SkillsUSA advisor; Daniel Henry, Warren Area High School, third in automotive specialization; Paul York, Warren Area High School, second in motorcycle technology; Ryan McShane, Youngsville High School, third in marine tecnology; and Jason Clever, Eisenhower High School, first in carpentry. Missing from the photo is Jacob Devereaux, Eisenhower High School, who received a first in electronics technology. SkillsUSA nationals is scheduled for June 26.
