Plenty of cards

June 5, 2013
The Times Observer

When Angie Valone turned 95, she began receiving birthday cards lots of them. One day she got 20 cards, and the next day 20 more. "I said something is going on," she remembered. It turned out that her daughter, Carol Adams, started a phone and email effort to try to get 95 cards delivered. At the final count, Valone received 120 cards, including one from her grandniece, Heather Espeso who lives in Spain. She said, "It was almost like a contest for a while." Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her a party at the Conewango Club in Warren.
