The Regional Center for Workforce Excellence, on behalf of the Northwest Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board, held the Tenth Annual Northwest Pennsylvania Youth Partnership Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. The Youth Partnership Awards Luncheon celebrated the achievements of individual youth who have participated in the services and activities of the Workforce Investment Area system. The event also recognized those organizations who have helped to provide workforce development opportunities for youth in the region.
This year's event featured four speakers who have participated in the youth programs; they spoke about their involvement with the programs and how it has had an impact on their lives.
The awards and winners recognized at the 2013 Youth Partnership Awards Luncheon included: NWPA WIA Youth System Community Partner of the Year : Warren/Forest Hi-Ed Diploma Program, Warren County, and NWPA WIA Youth System Younger Youth of the Year : Matthew Edmondson, Forest County.

The Regional Center for Workforce Excellence operates under the direction of the Northwest Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board (WIB). Their mission is to facilitate the development, training, and future preparation of a workforce that meets current and future needs in Northwest Pennsylvania.
