A Youngsville man was killed Tuesday morning in an automobile accident on Matthews Run Road.
Warren-based state police said that Melvin Thomas Murvine, 26, was driving north on Route 27 in a 1997 Mazda B4000 pickup truck at 8:35 a.m. According to police, he crested a hill, and his vehicle entered the southbound lane for unknown reasons.
Police said the pickup struck a 2004 International Pepsi truck driven by Scott Donald Williams, 48, Sugar Grove head-on.

Both vehicles came to rest at the point of impact.
Murvine was pronounced dead at the scene by Warren County Coroner Jerry Borden and Deputy Coroner Stan Titus.
Williams was transported to Warren General Hospital by ambulance and released.
Police said both operators were wearing seat belts.
Police were assisted at the scene by Youngsville, Sugar Grove, and Lander volunteer firefighters.
A reconstruction team was brought in from Erie, and the road was re-opened to traffic at approximately 1:47 p.m.
