Joy in a Lifetime

May 22, 2013
The Times Observer

Warren Manor Nursing & Rehab Facility celebrated National Nursing Home Week last week with special activities for residents, family and staff every day. Highlighting the week on Thursday, in honor of their new "Joy In Moments/Joy In a Lifetime" program with the help of Bob Sears's owner and operator of Luxury Limo Service of Warren, coordinators were able to make a Joy In A Lifetime wish come true for nursing assistant Tammy Littlefield. Tammy's "Joy In A Lifetime" wish was to take a ride in a limo. Bob Sears, owner and operator, donated his time and service to make this "Joy" happen. Accompanying Tammy on her ride to get ice cream was resident Phyllis Jordan. Both women also celebrated birthdays last week. Pictured in the wheel chair is resident Phyllis Jordan. Standing, from left, are activity director Darla Heckathorn (who contacted Bob about making this happen); Littlefield; Sears; and Warren Manor administrator John McCracken. Warren Manor will kick this program off on June 1 for all new residents and then eventually include all current residents at Warren Manor.
