Warren-Forest County Pomona Grange met recently with master Kelly Van Ord presiding.
Deanna Hollabaugh, chaplain, led the annual memorial service with flowers placed on the altar in memory of Sandra Malley from Forest Grange.
Jodie Keith, State Grange Flora, was the honored guest and presented the program for the day which included highlights of upcoming events and a fun game of Tic Tac Toe using Grange information.
Committee reports were received: from the youth chairman Matt Irons who stated he and Miranda Irons will attend and participating in the reenactment of the degrees at the Kelley Farm in Minnesota in July. Auction chairman Jean Hollabaugh said the first sale of the year will take place on June 1 at 1 p.m. Hollabaugh also reviewed the contests available through the family activity committee that will be judged at the Warren County Fair. Junior Leader Miranda Irons said plans are to reactivate the Watson Junior Grange later this year. Young people ages 5 to 14 are eligible to join.
Upcoming events include an auction on June 1 at 1 p.m. in the Grange building on the fairgrounds; State Grange Youth Camp June 29-30; State Grange Junior Camp July 1-6; Family Festival at Centre County Grange Fairgrounds July 19-21; Pie day at Pomona Grange July 30 at 8:30 a.m. with a tureen lunch; Warren County Fair-Aug. 6-10 with judging on Aug. 6; quarterly Pomona Grange meeting on Aug. 24 beginning at 9 a.m. with Brokenstraw Grange members providing the lunch.
