Woodmobile events give students hands-on lesson

May 13, 2013
The Times Observer

As part of Woodmobile events at the Warren County Fairgrounds, students Brooke Alspaugh, Henry Viator, Alexandria Farrel, Justin Rich, Alex Hangge, Riley Stanko, Regan Migne, Haylee Martin, Gage Shaffer, Tanner Carlson and Mereah Jones played a game showing the interaction between fish and habitat while Jen Moore of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) looked on. In the game, some students played fish who ran across the field and tagged other students playing habitat. Tagged students then went to the fish side, showing how more fish than available habitat left some fish with none.
