The "Run for the Woods" 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday.
This 5k event will benefit the mission and ministry of Wesley Woods Camp in Northwest Pennsylvania.
Scott Barber Sr., right, has retired from Youngsville TV Corp. as General Manager after 8 years of service. He was elected and the Board of Directors has approved his appointment as a lineman. The BOD has hired Terry Weinman to replace Barber as General Manager.
The 5k run will begin at 1 p.m. with a registration fee $20; 5k fun walk at 1:01 p.m., registration fee, $20; Youth/Toddler Fun Run at 2:30 p.m., Free
Registration is from 11 a.m. to 12:45 at McKnight Dining Hall at Wesley Woods
T-shirts are guaranteed to first 100 entrants in paid events.
Awards are for first male and female overall, top three male and female finishers in each age group: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
A rummage sale will be held at Irvine Presbyterian Church today from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m.-noon. There will be clothing, books, household items for sale. Refreshments and baked goods will be available.

Youngsville High School Prom will be held Saturday at the Conewango Country Club in Warren.
The Youngsville Wrestling Boosters are selling tickets for a Wine Trail Fundraiser scheduled on Saturday, June 1. Tickets are $40 each. Price includes bus ride, wine samples at each of six wineries and snacks along the way. Dinner (on your own tab) will be at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield before the trip home. Benefit Dance will be held at Youngsville Fire Hall on Saturday to benefit Crime Stopper of Warren County. Entertainment is by Ron Carrington, Sr. & Touch of Gold Band from 8 p.m.- 1 a.m.
Donation of $15 couple and $8 single, BYOB and BYO snacks.
Annual Yard Sale
Evangelical United Methodist Church will hold its Annual Yard Sale sponsored by Women's Ministry on May 17 and May 18 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Second Street in Youngsville. The sale will be in the pavilion, near the parking lot in the back of the church.
St. Francis Episcopal Church monthly Community Dinner will be Tuesday, May 14, in the Fellowship Hall. The menu will feature pork and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, roll and dessert will be served. Serving hours 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. Donations are accepted; takes-out available at 5:45.
Two mounted Elk are part of a Wildlife Art Show titled - Where the "Wild Things" are in the PA Wilds. Seven of Jason Morrison's mounted animals form the center piece for this exhibit surrounded by the wildlife paintings, drawings, photos, and sculptures of 19 Warren County artists.
The show ends Saturday. This is the last chance to see this very unique show. Gallery hours are Wednesday thru Friday 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
