Paul Eugene Kitelinger, 69 Fuller Avenue, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Warren General Hospital, following a brief illness.
He was born on August 31, 1929, in Warren, to the late Clarence and Alice E. Kitelinger. He was a Warren area resident his entire life. He owned and operated Kitelinger Excavating. He then worked for Pleasant Township before retiring from the Grunderville Landfill in 1991.
He was pastchief and lifetime member of the Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department. He also belonged to the Eagles Club and Bocce Group.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing Bocce, and attending the auction at the fairgrounds. He never had a bad word about anything and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Surviving are his wife of almost 47 years, Ida Jean Wolfe Kitelinger, whom he married on July 22, 1966, in Warren; daughters, Nancy and her husband Jim Kitelinger; Diane and her husband Tom Genberg, Roxie Kelly, all of Warren and son, Michael P. Kelly and his wife Eileen, Sheffield, a daughterinlaw, Sandy Kelly, Taylorsville, NC; sister, Doris Buchanan, Russell; several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stephen S. Kelly, on May 1, 2013; a grandson, Shane Kelly and a greatgrandson, Matt Littlefield; brother Walter Kitelinger and sister Marjorie Lundberg.
A celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of his family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in his name to the Cancer Center or Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department.
