Two for two.
Youngsville beat a county opponent for the second time in as many days Wednesday, handing Sheffield a 9-1 loss at Youngsville High School.
After starting the season 0-2, the Eagles have been victorious in five of their last seven games. They are back in action again on Thursday, hosting Maplewood. Sheffield fell to 1-11 with the loss and is off until Monday when it visits Kane.

Slow and steady was Youngsville's recipe for success on Wednesday. Instead of laying one or big innings on the Wolverines, the Eagles simply pulled away slowly for much of the contest.
The Eagles (5-4) scored three runs in the first inning for the second straight day, building an early advantage. Katie Gustafson drove in the first run when her single plated Kennedy Cratty and Haley Gray drove in two more runs when her single allowed Gustafson and Karissa Cratty to score.
The Wolverines responded with a run of their own in the top of the second. Hannah Vile led off the inning by reaching on an error and advanced on Anna Baldensperger's hard single. Moments later, Brandy Rockwell hit a hard single of her own and Vile scored to make it 3-1.
The Eagles pushed the lead back to three with a quick run in the bottom of the third. Jessica Jameson tripled and scored after the next at-bat when Gustafson hit a sacrifice fly to center.
Youngsville essentially put the game out of reach in the bottom of the fourth by adding another three-spot. Kennedy Cratty singled and scored on Jameson's double and RBI singles from Karissa Cratty and Gray made it 7-1.
The final two runs of the night came in the sixth inning when freshman Samantha Collins scored on a passed ball and Gustafson raced home on an RBI groundout from Julie Jameson.

GUYS MILLS - Eisenhower couldn't cash in its opportunities on Wednesday, leaving 12 runners on base during a 9-1 loss to Maplewood at Maplewood Area High School.
Despite sending the same amount of batters to the dish, Eisenhower scored just one run to Maplewood's nine and never challenged for the win. The Tigers put up a crooked number in four different innings, scoring twice in the second, fourth and sixth innings and three times in the fifth.
Ike's lone run came in the top of the fifth. Kelsey Repke drew a walk, Dakota Williams grounded into a fielder's choice and Haylie Birt reached on an error to set the table. Ashley Barnett then came through with a two-out run scoring single.
The Knights (2-8) are off until Saturday when they travel to Union City.
