83 quilts dedicated for world relief

April 22, 2013
The Times Observer

They never know where the quilts will end up, but the quilters of Saron Lutheran Church don't stop tying one on for others. For more than 40 years, the church's quilting group has been making quilts for Lutheran World Relief. The quilts are sent all over the world for aid and comfort. Some are kept back at the church for families who have experienced fires or other tragedies. On Sunday, April 14, 83 quilts were dedicated (pictured below) and blessed to be sent all over the world once again. They will be carried by Barb and Harold Luce to the distribution center in Thurmont, Maryland, in the coming week.
