Warren General Hospital recently received a $200 Community Award from the March of Dimes. "The March of Dimes' mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. They do this through funding research, education and providing comfort to families in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Last year, the March of Dimes invested more than $4.5 million in Pennsylvania, which includes the community awards. The March of Dimes provides these community awards for continuing education for nurses to build a library of nursing modules. To learn more about these and other programs, contact the Northwest Pennsylvania Division of the March of Dimes at (814) 833-4941."
Accepting the award from Brenda Zock, March of Dimes community director, is Melissa Turner, clinical nurse educator/maternity manager. Also pictured are maternity staff Morgan Kolstee, Kathy Moore and Katie Hodak.
