Olive "Pix" Vennard, 84, of Warren, Pa. died Wednesday afternoon, April 10, 2013 at Golden LivingKinzua. She was born January 11, 1929 at Jamestown, NY to the late John and Ruth Weiser Martin. She was a longtime Warren area resident and was formerly of Frewsburg, NY. Olive was a graduate of Frewsburg High School and earned her nurse's aide training. She was employed with W.C.A. Hospital, the former Jamestown General Hospital, and then went to work at the Warren State Hospital, leaving there due to disability. She had also worked at the Floating Restaurant which had been located on the Kinzua Dam. She owned and operated Pix Ceramics. She was active with the Chief Cornplanter Boy Scouts of America Council, former president of the PTA, active with the Warren, Pa. and Frewsburg, NY band boosters. She enjoyed cake decorating and feeding the birds.
