Warren Area High School graduate Matt Jaskolka earned a win on Sunday in his first collegiate start for Division II Bloomsburg University. Jaskolka threw 4 2/3 innings, giving up five hits and three walks in an 11-6 win over Philadelphia University.

The Young Professionals of Warren County will host the 3rd Annual Strikes for Charity event on Saturday, April 20, at Youngsville’s Valley Bowling Center. Over the past two years, the event has raised over $1,300 for local charities. This year’s local charity of choice is the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program of Warren and Forest counties. The deadline for entry is Friday, April 12. Warren Area High School graduate Tyler Leichtenberger suffered a complete-game loss on Sunday for Division III Rochester Institute of Technology, a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Clarkson University. Leichtenberger allowed six hits and one walk over seven innings, striking out three.
Warren Area High School graduate Brandon Schott had an RBI double in Division I University of Maryland Eastern Shore's 5-3 loss to Coppin State on Sunday. Schott was 1-for-3 as UMES' starting catcher.
Youngsville High School graduate Amber Fox was 3-for-3 with a run scored as the starting third baseman for the Division III University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's softball team, in a 7-4 win over Franciscan on Saturday.
Fox is 5-for-19 for Pitt-Bradford (10-6) in nine games.
Warren Area High School graduate Emily Lobdell was 2-for-2 as a centerfielder and pitcher for Division II Slippery
Rock on Sunday in a 9-8 win over Lock Haven. Lobdell is 23-for-64 batting (.359) on the season. She's also 3-3 pitching with a 4.10 E.R.A. in 41 innings.
Sheffield High School graduate Kalil Slaughter finished first in the 100-meter dash (11.04 seconds) and 200 (22.38), both qualifying times for the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference championships, as a freshman for the Division III Penn State Behrend men's track team on Saturday at the Carnegie Mellon Quad Meet in Pittsburgh.
Slaughter was also on the winning 4X100 relay team in 43.83 seconds.
Warren Area High School graduate Katie Spade won the 1500-meter run over Westminster in 4:50.78 for Penn State Behrend's women's track team at the Carnegie Mellon Quad Meet on Saturday in Pittsburgh. She was also second in the 800 at 2:21.72.
Spade was also part of the winning 4X400 relay team that broke a school record and qualified for the ECACs in 4:04.03.

Big 30 addition
Sheffield High School senior Shequan Wright is the latest Warren County addition to the Pennsylvania Don Raabe Big 30 Classic football squad. A quarterback and safety at Sheffield, Wright was named offensive and special teams player of the year for 2012 for the Wolverines.
