The Warren Dragons took to the diamond for the second time in as many days Saturday afternoon, and picked up their first win of the season, 13-2, in a non-region contest against Bradford at Old Legion Field in North Warren.
The Dragons were able to capitalize on numerous mistakes by the visitors, which included 14 walks, one hit batter, and six errors in five innings of play.
"It was a good game to get some guys in and get some experience," said Warren coach Rick Eaton. "Their pitchers struggled and we stayed patient at the plate and put the ball in play when we needed to."

Ending it up
Warren second baseman Mitch Dorunda makes a play from one knee during the Dragons’ 13-2 non-region win over Bradford on Saturday at Old Legion Field.
After sophomore pitcher Tanner Stanz worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the top of the first inning, the Warren offense got rolling when Todd Fasenmyer's sacrifice fly scored Collin Fantaskey for the first run of the game.
Jason Stanton followed with a single and Matt Hultquist drew a walk to set the table for Carter Cerra, who scored both runners with a single to left.
The Dragons' big first inning wasn't over yet, as Tanner Teconchuck singled and Austin Schwanke walked before Ryan Gustafson and Fantaskey picked up RBI on a pair of Bradford errors. When all was said and done, Warren had jumped out to a 5-0 advantage after the first frame.
The Dragons continued to take advantage of control issues from Owls' pitchers in the second, loading the bases on walks and pushing three more runs across on an error and two more walks after a Bradford pitching change.
More free bases in the third inning lengthened Warren's lead to 13-0, where it stayed until the visitors put up a pair of runs in the fifth and final inning.
Stanton, Cerra, and Teconchuck notched the only hits for the Dragons, all of which came in the first inning. Cerra and Fantaskey each had two RBI in the win.
While the Bradford pitching staff struggled, Stanz put the clamps down on the Owls' offense, giving up no runs and striking out five in 3 1/3 before giving way to Cerra to close out the game.
The Dragons will look to make it two in a row on Monday, when they play host to DuBois at Old Legion Field.
