The Warren County Commissioners finalized a .75-mill increase in taxes during their Wednesday morning meeting, three months after they approved it.
The total property tax millage rate for the county has been 18.75 mills for the past nine years and is increasing to 19.50 next year. The 3/4 of a mill increase is expected to raise $360,000, Fiscal Director Toby Rohlin said last year while discussing the county's budget.
The Warren County Zoning Hearing Board has a new solicitor in Alaskey & Busch of Warren.
The Warren County Commissioners unanimously approved the firm as solicitors for the zoning board at a rate of $85 an hour with no retainer during their Wednesday morning meeting.
Rene Johnson who was appointed the county solicitor was the former solicitor for the zoning board and had to be replaced.
Two repository tax bids in Pittsfield and Farmington Township were awarded to Chris Wright for $251.
The commissioners also approved April as Parkinson's Disease Awareness month and Child Abuse Prevention Month.
A resolution authorizing Warren County's representation to the Workforce Investment Board was tabled.
