Kenneth P. Ristau, Sr., 85, of 205 Bates St., Youngsville, PA, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Warren General Hospital.
Kenneth was born in Warren, Pennsylvania on June 17, 1927, a son of the late Pauline (Dase) and Charles Ristau. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was retired from his employment with Betts Industries in Warren where he had worked for 35 years.
He was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church in Youngsville, HalgrenWilcox Post #658 of the American Legion in Youngsville, and the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. In his younger years, he loved to hunt and fish; and, in his later years, he enjoyed bingo and going to the casinos. Ken will be remembered for his love of watching wildlife from his kitchen window and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and how much he enjoyed his companion, his Pomeranian dog, Pedro.

He was the widower of Marian L. (Keller) Ristau, whom he married on Dec. 21, 1947 and who preceded him in death on August 12, 2009.
Surviving are a Daughter, Nancy (Ronald) M. Bumbarger, of Warren, PA; 2 Sons, Kenneth P. Ristau, Jr., of Youngsville, PA and Ricky (Andrea) J. Ristau, of Warren, PA.; 3 Brothers, Butch Ristau, of Warren, PA; Dick Ristau, of North Carolina; and Burdette Ristau, of Warren; 2 Sisters, Violet Lawson, of Warren, and Esther Wonderling, of Warren; 6 grandchildren, Greg Bumbarger, Brenda (Ethan) Schwarz, Chad (Lindsay) Ristau, Daniel Ristau, Holly (Jeffrey) Polochak, and Ricky (Tara) Ristau II; 7 greatgrandchildren, Trevor, Clark, Amelia, Colton, Logan, Katie Grace, Lillian Marie, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by: 4 brothers, Charles, David, Gilbert, and Jimmy Ristau; 3 sisters, Loretta Winger, Betty Jane Jones, and Lucy Van Ord.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 24 & 68 pm at McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc. in Youngsville.
A funeral service will be held at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Youngsville, PA, at 1 pm on Wednesday, March 27th, with Rev. Anette Gerber officiating. A graveside service will follow in Westview Cemetery in Starbrick with full military honors.
