Instructor Meg Robeson will instruct participants in the creation of a great spring wool pillow using 100 percent wool fabrics from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 13. The class will consist of a review of some hand stitches as well as using freezer paper to create patterns. The attendees will iron and cut out pieces of wool and use the blanket stitch to accent and cover the edges of all the wool.
Class fee is $20 and includes a kit with the pattern freezer paper, wool, the pillow background, wool and floss. Participants should bring a good pair of sewing scissors to the class.
Sign up at the library and pay the $5 non-refundable deposit fee and then pay the remaining $15 the day of the class. The group will meet in the Slater Room on the third floor of the library. Call Robeson at 728-2624 for more information.
