The property belonging to Lisa and Eric Hagberg in Sugar Grove Borough is back on the agenda for Tuesday's meeting of the Warren County Planning and Zoning Commission.
Previously, the Warren County Commissioners declined the request to change the zoning on the property along Big Tree Road in Sugar Grove to business. It was voted down 2-1 in January, with the only vote in favor of the Hagbergs coming from Commissioner John Bortz.
Several Sugar Grove residents had previously objected to the proposal and voiced concerns about environmental testing, flooding, runoff, and the possible introduction of a retail store to the area.
Parcel YV-2-3566 is a revised re-zoning request, resubmitted by the Hagbergs to the Planning and Zoning Commission for consideration at the March 5 meeting.
According to Dan Glotz, county planner, the original request was to re-zone 14 acres. Since the initial request, the parcel has been pared down with the Hagbergs now asking for 2.5 acres along Big Tree Road to be re-zoned.
"They are requesting re-zoning to commercial designation called Business B that allows for retail, office, and service-related establishments," Glotz said.
In November 2012, the possibility of installing storage units and retail opportunities were discussed.
The Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in basement break room 5 in the Warren County Courthouse.
