Watson Twp. meets

The Waston Township Supervisors adopted three ordinances at the Feb. 20 meeting. The ordinances authorized the Watson Township Tax Collector to impose a charge for the provision of duplicate tax invoices, a charge for the certification of real estate taxes paid and a fee for returned checks.

The supervisors have scheduled the Spring Trash Clean Up Day for Saturday, May 4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Watson Township Community Building for Watson Township residents and camp owners. The township cannot accept batteries, solvents, propane tanks or hazardous materials. Tires will be collected for a fee. The township will need to make a decision regarding the disposal of computers, monitors and televisions as a new state law was passed which addresses the recycling and disposal of these items.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m.
