Robert A. Cummings has been promoted to the rank of master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.
Cummings is a noncommissioned officer-in-charge of curriculum development assigned to the 437th Airlift Wing at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C. The new master sergeant has served in the military for 15 years.
He is the son of Bruce and Terry Cummings of Oak Street, Youngsville.
