Warren Women's Christian Connection held a "Frosty the Snowman" luncheon recently. Centerpieces were snowmen, and favors were snowflakes.
Speaker Jean Bisnett of Rensselaer , N.Y., has ended up going "the wrong way" in life choices. At a young age, she met a special couple who prayed before every meal and read from "The Big Book." They also went to church and invited Jean to go with them. She loved it. She learned about receiving the ticket for Heaven, which is a special gift from God. After college, marriage and family, she became very ill due to an infection and felt a great emptiness. So she and her husband made the big decision to go to church and attended a Bible study. A friend told Jean that "God forgives everyone's sins for those who ask. God's Perfect Son, Jesus, died for our sins." So, Jean confessed her sins to become a "child of God." Jean says, "The best is yet to come!"
Ruth Chase of Warren talked about A Safe Place for abused women and children in Warren. Gloves, mittens, neck scarves and hats were donated to A Safe Place.
Christian songs were sung by Geri Fox of Warren.
Christian Women's Connection meets on the second Tuesday of every month for lunch. All women are welcome to this Christian non-denominational gathering. The group is affiliated with Stonecroft Ministries.
