Warren County Christian School won its regular-season finale on Friday night, defeating French Creek at home, 48-44.
The Lions jumped out to a big lead, outscoring the Eagles 18-7 in the first quarter, but French Creek responded with a 15-5 advantage in the second quarter to make it a one-point game at halftime.
WCCS again took control in the third quarter before finding a way to hold on through a late-game run from the Eagles.

Breaking away

Carson Moore led all scorers with 29 points, 12 of which came in the third quarter. Josh Wagonseller added nine and Eric Sorenson finished with eight.
"The boys came out with a lot of energy," WCCS coach Tom Jones said. "French Creek has a lot of young, talented players. This was a great way for the senior to end the regular season."
The Lions will begin their playoff journey on Tuesday, when they travel to Calvary Baptist.

Erie First Christian 64, TCCS 18
ERIE - Ben Kightlinger did most of Tidioute's scoring, but it wasn't enough to keep up with Erie First Christian during a 64-18 Bulldogs loss Friday in Erie.
Of Tidioute's 18 points, Kightlinger was responsible for 16 of them, knocking down five field goals and going six of nine from the line. The only other player to score for the Bulldogs was forward Jordan Yeager.
TCCS (2-13) concludes its season Tuesday at Youngsville.
