The City of Warren and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture have announced the results of recent inspections at local food service establishments.
Inspections in the city reported Feb. 1 include:
Woman's Club, 310 Market St., no violations;
Liberty Street Cafe, 211 Liberty St., one critical violation - uncovered food found in refrigerator; one non-critical violation - kitchen floor needs cleaned around and under appliances;
Subby's/Ralph's, 300 Pennsylvania Ave. E., no violations;
First United Methodist Church, 200 Market St., no violations;
Jefferson DeFrees Family Center, 201 Second Ave., no violations;
Cronie's Pub, 707 Pennsylvania Ave. E., no violations;
Toriella's Treats "appears closed for business."
Inspections reported by the Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services include:
AMVETS Post #050, Stoney Run Road, Sugar Grove, one violation - chemical sanitizer not detected in final rinse cycle of low-temperature dishwasher. Facility will wash dishes by hand under machined is repaired;
Country Fair #0010, 161 Pleasant Drive, one violation - condensate dripping from the cooling unit onto the floor below, no products stored below the unit at this time. Pan placed below drip;
Fox's Pizza Den, 1751 Market St., four violations - working plastic container located on storage shelf above the three basin ware wash sink with green liquid not marked with the common name of the chemical; door handles of reach-in cold hold unit, and reach-in freezer have a buildup of food residue, and need to be cleaned; buildup of dust on the fan guards and the exterior of the cooling unit in the walk-in cooler; interior wall of the walk-in cooler and metal shelving unit have a buildup of static dust, and need to be cleaned;
Rolling Express Tobacco, 980 Market St., no violations;
WalMart #3429, 2901 Market St. Ext., four violations - one quart of infant formula expired (two weeks); buildup of debris/litter on the shelves of the glass door reach-in freezers, located in the center of the sales floor; walk-in freezer, located in the meat department, had a large block of frozen condensate in unit and condensate on ceiling and floor; buildup of static dust and grease in the filters of the ventilation hood system above two roasters in the deli department.
