ERIE - Warren fell to General McLane on Saturday in the semifinals of the District 10 Class AAA Team Duals at Central Tech High School.
Warren improved upon the 68-3 loss to undefeated-in-Region 4 General McLane a couple weeks ago in a 54-22 defeat Saturday.
Seth Johnson's 12-3 major decision at 120 pounds pulled Warren to within 12-4. Next, D.J. Fehlman's pin at 126 brought Warren to within 12-10, but that was as close as Warren would get. It was Fehlman's 27th win of the season.
Down 48-10, Chris McNeal's second-period pin gave Warren 16 team points. Alex Streich also earned a pin at heavyweight for Warren (14-6).
McDowell defeated Titusville, 66-6, in the other semifinal, and then beat top-seeded McLane, 34-19, by winning three of the last four weight classes in the championship match. McLane beat McDowell earlier this season.
McDowell (12-1), last year's PIAA AAA runner-up, meets Downingtown East, the District 1 runner-up, Thursday at 8 p.m. in the opening round of the state team tournament.
The McDowell at Warren Region match has been postponed from this Wednesday to Tuesday, Feb. 12, as a result.
