Belt promotion
Randy Dickey, right, a 30-year veteran of Johnson’s Black Belt Academy was recently promoted to 6th Degree Black Belt (Shihan) by Instructor Rick Johnson, left. Dickey’s proficiency in Kata (forms) and Waza (Self Defense) along with training students at all levels earned him this rank.

Jr. high hoops
Eisenhower defeated Tidioute Charter, 37-7, in junior high boys basketball play on Friday.
Quintin Roberts led the Knights with 13 points and Robert Mayes added six points. Nash Markham finished with five points, Chase Reynolds four points, Dominic Caprino, Chase Elmquist, Owen Nizzi and Lucas Rizzo two points each and Hunter Wolcott one point.
Darren Geiger led the Bulldogs with four points with Kyle Campbell adding two points and Ricky McAfoose one point.
Youth soccer
The Warren U-14 boys defeated Westfield, N.Y., 7-2, on Friday in the Lakewood Family YMCA Indoor Soccer League.
Lionel Eason, Tanner Kays, Connor Guiffre, Sawyer Mohney, Seth Harington, Mitchell Grosch, and Griffin Suppa scored goals for Warren in the win. Guiffre, Mohney, Seth Harrington, and Tommy Harrington assisted goals. Seth and Tommy Harrington were goalies for 2-0 Warren.
