Warning saved injuries, damage

January 26, 2013
The Times Observer

Dear editor,

A couple weeks ago it rained, and the roads and sidewalks were suddenly covered with ice. The road was particularly dangerous at the "Forge Curve."

I would like to thank the gentleman who was traveling on that road that day and waved and yelled at drivers coming from the other direction to warn them of the horrible conditions.

I believe a lot of damage to vehicles and many injuries were averted by his actions. My daughter-in-law was traveling to work at that time, and she was able to get stopped safely, as a direct result of his warning. I have no idea who he is, but I would like to thank him for taking the time to care and to take action!
