The Warren Players, featuring Lil Hunkele and John Beard, will perform "Love Letters" by A. R. Gurney, as a Readers' Theatre presentation, in the library room at the Struthers Library Theatre, on February 14-16, at 8 p.m.
This play is the story of a boy and girl who grow up near each other and who also attend school together during the beginning of their academic life. One of them loves words and enjoys writing letters and the other one despises it. But as they pursue their separate lives, they somehow manage to keep in touch through the years.
"Love Letters" is their story, told through the letters being read to the audience, of the daily lives of these kindred spirits. The play relates life's ups and downs, and both happy days and bad ones. And just like life, there are realistic funny occurrences juxtaposed with sad times, some with adult content.
