GUYS MILLS - Playing a similar opponent, Eisenhower had trouble putting the ball in the hoop from the free throw line in a 31-25 Region 3 loss at Maplewood on Saturday.
"You make 50 percent, you win the ballgame," said Eisenhower coach Mike Logue, whose Knights shot 7-of-27 from the free throw line. "We didn't have the best offensive night, but we've been talking about all year going to the foul line. As a coach, I'm happy were getting the line that much... but I have to do a better job of teaching foul shooting."
The Knights (6-6 overall and 2-4 in the region) led 12-9 at halftime and were tied 22-22 after three quarters.
Halie VanOrd led Ike with 11 points, Dakota Williams had four rebounds and Danielle Bradish four steals.
Maplewood is also 2-4 in region.
Ike was a 44-32 junior varsity winner.
