Free throw winners
The Warren Elks Lodge #223 held its annual “Hoop Shoot” Free Throw Contest Sunday at the Warren County YMCA. First and second-place winners from the event included, front row from left, Thomas Lucks (1st, 10-11 Boys), Kyle Anderson (2nd, 10-11 Boys), Bryce Blair (1st, 8-9 Boys) and Anabelle Gross (1st, 8-9 Girls). Back Row, Elliot Gross (1st, 12-13 Boys), Kohl Nosel (2nd, 12-13 Boys), Laura Lucks (1st, 12-13 Girls), Rachel Wilson (2nd, 12-13 Girls) and Gracie Wood (1st, 10-11 Girls). The first-place winners advance to the district shoot in Titusville scheduled for Saturday, January 26.

Warren Area High School graduate and Pitt-Bradford sophomore men's basketball player Tyler Fantaskey scored eight points for the Panthers during a 60-53 loss to Penn State Behrend on Thursday. Fantaskey and the Panthers return to action Saturday, hosting Penn State Altoona.
