‘Glory Way’ at Russell

Russell United Methodist Church will host dinner and music by "Glory Way Quartet" on Sunday, Jan. 27. Participants are invited to take a dish to share to the tureen dinner at 5 p.m. then stay for music at 6 p.m. the church is located at 17 N. Main St., Russell. The Glory Way Quartet has been spreading God's word through song for more than 10 years, presenting four-part harmony at its best. They have appeared with many of the top groups in the industry including the Dove Brothers, Dixie Melody Boys, the Spencers, Danny Funderburk, Chuck Wagon Gang and countless others. Tenor Jim Copenhaver from Wooster, Ohio, has also sung with the Royal Heirs and the Copenhavers. Jim's smooth rich tenor vocal is always a crowd pleaser. Baritone Gary Lyons from Marion, Ohio, has sung with the Lyons family. Gary has been with the group for one year. Lead Justin Crank from Mansfield, Ohio, has been with the group since the start and is the manager. Justin has also sung with the Fishermen Quartet and is a board member of Down Home Gospel. Bass Bob Christy from Mogadore, Ohio, has been with the group for more than a year. Bob has been singing for many years and recently spent time with the Gospel Echoes.
