Townships hold reorganizational meetings

Townships throughout Warren County held their annual organizational meetings on Monday night.

Conewango Township

Linda Swanson was elected chairman and Ed Seebeck was appointed as vice chair. Charles Barone is the third supervisor.

Kathleen Swartz was re-appointed as secretary/treasurer. Randy Sleeman was appointed road superintendent, Tim Bevevino as solicitor, Jason Peters as police chief and Stiffler-McGraw as township engineer.

Other appointments included John Gray for a five-year term on the North Warren Municipal Authority and Judy Renwick for a five-year term on the Conewango Township Municipal Authority. Todd Rarey was appointed to the vacancy board, Seebeck as the voting member at the township supervisor annual convention and Todd Fantaskey as sewage enforcement officer. First Niagara Bank was approved as the township's bank.

Elk Township

Ken Dunham and Jeffrey Carlstrom were re-elected as chairman and vice chairman, respectively. Justin Becklund is the third supervisor.

Sherry Moore was appointed as treasurer/secretary, Todd Fantaskey as sewage enforcement officer with Nick Melnick as an alternate, Tim Bevevino as solicitor and Gerald Ruhlman as emergency management coordinator.

Meetings will be held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month except November and December when meetings will be held on the first and third Wednesday to avoid conflicts with the holidays. All meetings are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Eldred Township

Homer Nevel and Victor Savitz were re-elected as chairman and vice chairman, respectively. David Brown is the third supervisor.

Diana Maille was appointed secretary/treasurer, Todd Fantaskey as sewage enforcement officer with Nick Melnick as an alternate, Timothy Wachter as solicitor and James Wencil as emergency management coordinator.

Also appointed as vacancy board chair was Eric Swartzbaugh and Matt Maille as roadmaster.

Depositories for the township will be Northwest Savings Bank and PLGIT.

The supervisors will meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the township building.

Glade Township

David Sedon was elected chairman and Joseph Scully was elected vice chairman. Bryan Drescher is the third supervisor.

Tia Drescher was appointed as secretary/treasurer, David Sedon as roadmaster, Janet Buckler as tax collector, Timothy Bevevino as solicitor, Todd Fantaskey as sewage enforcement officer with Nick Melnick as Fantaskey's alternate, Gerald Ruhlman as emergency management coordinator and E&M Engineering as township engineer.

Meetings will be held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Glade Township Building.

Limestone Township

Dan Edminston was elected chairman and John Hanisak was elected vice chairman. Chuck Swartz is the third supervisor.

Jackie Edmiston was appointed as secretary/treasurer, Todd Fantaskey as sewage enforcement officer with Nick Melnick appointed as Fantaskey's alternate, Timothy Bevevino as solicitor, John Hanisak as emergency management coordinator while Chuck Swartz will serve as deputy emergency management coordinator, Dona Swartz was appointed as tax collector.

Township meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the municipal building.

Mead Township

Al Fox was elected chairman and Dave Wholeben vice chairman. Mike Curtis is the third supervisor.

Debbie Cowan was appointed as secretary, Dan Page as roadmaster, Tim Bevevino as solicitor, Stiffler & McGraw as township engineer and Todd Fantaskey as sewage enforcement officer.

Also appointed were Jeri Fox to the position of emergency management coordinator and John Reynolds to the Kinzua Warren County Joint Authority Board.

Meetings will be held on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the municipal building.

Pine Grove Township

Charles Morrison was elected chairman and Ramon Harris vice chairman. Linda Farnsworth is the third supervisor.

Julie Parmenter was appointed as secretary/treasurer, Todd Fantaskey as sewage enforcement officer, Tim Wachter as solicitor and Richard Barrett as emergency management coordinator.

Meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the township office.

Pleasant Township

Arden Knapp and Ronald Hultman were re-elected as chairman and vice chairman, respectively. John Phillips is the third supervisor.

Lea Ann Adams was appointed as secretary/treasurer, Todd Fantaskey as sewage enforcement officer, Swanson, Bevevino & Gilford as solicitor and David Tipton as emergency management coordinator.

Also appointed as code enforcement were Don Saporito and Michael Noe. E&M Engineering was appointed as township engineer.

Meetings will be held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the municipal building.

Sheffield Township

James McMillen was elected chairman and John Labesky was elected vice chairman. Thomas Bulicz is the third supervisor.

Kristi Kulka was appointed as secretary/treasurer, Stapleford & Byham as solicitor, Todd Fantaskey as sewage enforcement officer with Russ Braun as Fantaskey's alternate, Doug Repine as emergency management coordinator, Clyde Yonkie as roadmaster with Daniel Thayer as Yonkie's assistant, Daniel Madigan as police chief, Jack McLaughlin as township historian, the Warren County School District as wage tax collector, E&M Engineering as township engineer, Virginia Elms and Alicia Madigan to fill auditor vacancies.

Northwest Savings Bank was selected as township depository.

Roger Dunham was appointed to the vacancy board and to a six-year term on the township municipal authority board. Gloria Warner was appointed to a three-year term on the parks and recreation committee.

Bulicz was also appointed to the municipal authority and fire department boards. Kulka was also appointed to the library board. McMillen was also appointed to the medical center and police department boards. Labesky was appointed to the road department board and parks and recreation commission.

Meetings will be held on the first and third Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Sheffield Hospitality Center.

Sugar Grove Township

Randal Brown was elected chairman and Carl Black was elected vice chairman. George Sanders is the third supervisor.

Katherine Liffner was appointed as secretary/treasurer, Stapleford & Byham as solicitor, Todd Fantaskey as sewage enforcement officer, Gene Falconer as emergency management coordinator and Margaret Nelson as tax collector.

Road inspections are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 13, and Saturday, Aug. 17 at 7 a.m.

Meetings will be held the first and third Tuesday of each month at 8 p.m. at the township building.

Triumph Township

James Martin was re-elected chairman and James Ziegler was re-elected vice chairman. William Caputo is the third supervisor.

Richard Brown was appointed township secretary and Tim Bevevino as solicitor. Todd Fantaskey was appointed sewage enforcement officer with Nick Melnick appointed as alternate.

Watson Township

John Hollabaugh was re-elected chairman and Rob Burris was elected vice chairman. Albert Hendricks is the third supervisor.

Sandra Kick was appointed secretary/treasurer, Todd Fantaskey as sewage enforcement officer with Nick Melnick as an alternate, Stapleford & Byham as solicitor and Curtis Hollabaugh as emergency management coordinator.

Erie Bank and PLGIT were selected as township depositories.

Also appointed as vacancy board chair was Burris and all three supervisors were appointed roadmasters. Kick, Burris and John Hollabaugh will represent the township at the annual township supervisor convention with Burris as the voting member at that assembly.

Meetings will continue to be held on the third Wednesday of the month. Time of the meetings has been changed from 7 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
