MEADVILLE - Warren sophomore D.J. Fehlman earned his 50th high school win on his way to a Tool City Tournament title on Saturday at Meadville Area High School.
A District 10 champion last year as a freshman, this is Fehlman's first title at the Tool City Tournament, a prestigious 17-team tournament in its 34th year.
Fehlman earned a 5-3 decision at 126 pounds over Saegertown's Nick Monico in the semifinals on Saturday, before winning the title over Boiling Springs' Kyle Shoop via injury default to remain unbeaten on the year. He won a Warren Area High School freshman record 33 matches as a freshman.
Dragons teammate Alex Streich had also advanced to the tournament semifinals at 220 pounds, and finished fifth.
