School tragedy

January 3, 2013
The Times Observer

Dear editor,

I am sorry about the tragedy at Newtown. I believe the schools need to be secured and soon! A single point of entry or if more points of entry are needed armed police need to be present to prevent crazed individuals from entering the schools. Of all public buildings, schools are more important than many other buildings and as far as hiring more police, surely most police units could spare one or two more officers to protect our most important people. We need to meet deadly with deadly force.

Sincerely,

Carman J. Fedele, Sr.

Tidioute

P.S. As far as changing assault rifles and magazines, not much of a solution. We need to bet the mentally disturbed off the streets.
