Celebrating the new year in Times Square in New York City too much for you?
An event in Warren promises to have the same festive spirit but in a much smaller venue.
The Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry and the Warren County YMCA have partnered to bring in the new year in downtown Warren, ball drop included.
Keith Hedges with WCCBI said that the event will be located on Second Avenue between Liberty Street and Pennsylvana Avenue.
An inflatable movie screen will be set up with Wii sports for kids to play. Hot dogs and party favors - hats and glow necklaces - will be for sale throughout the event.
Hedges said that the evening will feature music as well as a ball drop off of the Flat Iron building when the clock strikes midnight.
The event will start at 10 p.m. and run until shortly after midnight.
