A three mill real estate tax is coming to residents of the Youngsville Borough.
Borough council approved the 2013 budget, which includes a three mill hike, during a special meeting held on Friday afternoon.
Council had until January 1 to approve the budget.
A three mill increase will raise approximately $48,000 per year for the borough. Friday's vote signifies the first real estate millage increase in at least 15 years. The total millage rate will jump from 6 to 9 mills.
