Crash. Warren-based state police reported that at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 23, a crash occurred at the intersection of Route 6 and Kinzua Rd., when Alicia L. Steffan, 21, Sheffield, driving a 2007 Pontiac GS, was unable to bring her vehicle to a stop due to icy road conditions and struck a 2000 Lincoln LS, driven by Debra J. Lyon, 55, Clarendon, as she slowed to a stop at a red light. Steffan was examined for minor injuries at the scene by Clarendon Emergency Medical Services and later was examined at Warren General Hospital for injuries to her head and legs. The Pontiac was towed from the scene by Koebley Towing.
Southwest Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police reported that at approximately 6:04 p.m. on Dec. 21, a crash occurred on Route 27 approximately 558 feet east of McGraw Rd., when Connie M. Wright, 45, Bradford, driving a 1991 Dodge Durango, was traveling south on 27 and lost control on the snow-covered roadway, subsequently dropping off of the right shoulder of the roadway and striking the embankment, The vehicle rotated clockwise before striking a traffic control sign and a utility pole. The vehicle then rolled onto the driver's side and slid approximately 12 feet before coming to rest in the southbound lane. Both Wright and a passenger, Jenna M. Anthony, 22, Bradford, were transported to Titusville Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Police were assisted at the scene by the Grand Valley Volunteer Fire Department and Emergycare. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Thompson's Garage. Charges of failure to maintain tire equipment and traction surfaces were filed against Wright with District Judge Cynthia Lindemuth's office.
