Helen E. Steele, 77, of Warren, Pa. died after a brief illness Wednesday evening, December 26, 2012 at St. Vincent Health Care Center, Erie, Pa. She was born May 25, 1935 in Warren, Pa. to the late Per August Sigred and Anna Budda Hoflund.
She has resided in Warren her entire life and was a 1953 graduate of Warren High School. She was employed with the former Quality Markets in the produce department where she took care of the salad bar, retiring from there after 11 years employment.
She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church and was an avid reader. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John R. Steele whom she married October 28, 1961; 3 Children Bryan and John Steele, Lori Johnson and husband, Craig, all of Warren, Pa.; 1 Sister Mary Erik of Summerville, S.C.; 7 Grandchildren and 5 Greatgrandchildren.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph R.C. Church with Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating.
