A Westfield, N.Y. man died on Wednesday from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Columbus Township, according to Corry-based state police.
Raymond C. Lawson Jr., 67, of Pleasant Ave. Westfield, N.Y., reportedly died as a result of a one-vehicle crash on Plank Road at around 1:15 p.m. According to police, Lawson was driving south in a Ford F-150 truck when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle on the icy road. The vehicle veered off the left shoulder while Lawson was trying to negotiate a right curve, and it struck a large tree at the driver's door.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
