Mary E. Battko, 79, formerly of Davey Hill Rd., Pittsfield, departed this world to be with her loving husband, Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Rouse Warren Co. Home.

She was born November 2, 1933 on York Hill in Youngsville. Mary worked as a temp for the Warren Co. School District in the cafeteria for many years. She then went to the Rouse Warren Co. Home and worked in the dietary dept. until her retirement. She was a former member of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church Ladies Auxiliary, a Cub Scout Leader for many years, and enjoyed playing bingo. Mary's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her 3 children, Christopher (Vonnie) Battko of Pittsfield, Pamela (Scott) Hollabaugh of Garland, Jeffery Battko of Pittsfield, sister, Martha Irene Burroughs of Erie, and a brother Jim Logren of Warren, grandchildren, Jamie Vargason, Amanda Battko, Ginger Johnson, Zachary Battko, Heather Battko, Glenn Mumford, 5 greatgrandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and InLaws.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Battko, Jr., who passed away on February 22, 2008, 2 sisters, Ann Harkins and Eva Hoffman, and a brother, Clarence Buchanan.

A memorial service will be held on Friday (December 28) at 2:00 pm at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St. in Youngsville. The Rev. Marcus Briggs, Chaplain of the Rouse Warren Co. Home, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Friends of the Rouse, 701 Rouse Ave., Youngsville, Pa., 16371.
