Dear editor:
This is the second time I've decided to write a letter due to the stop sign situation at the intersection of Pa Avenue and Liberty Street.
I wrote my previous letter about two years ago, and received numerous comments from plenty of people that agree with my opinion. Today I was almost hit for the second time this week. This situation is getting absolutely ridiculous! As I read in the Observer a couple of days ago that the stop light would cost $80,000 to replace I felt that this cost was highly exagerated.
If not, where are these being purchased and how much are the workers installing it making?
$80,000 seems like an astronomical number for one stop light. I have had cars not even slow down at the stop sign numerous times and almost hit crowds of people at once.
I feel that there is a NEED for this issue to be resolved, either by police presence, or the traffic signal being installed back in the intersection.
