Theft. Conewango Twp. Police reported that between Nov. 23 and Dec. 22 at 1436 Dutch Hill Rd., someone removed a red snow blower, from the residence of Charles Froman. Value of the stolen item is approximately $800. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 814-726-0725.
False alarms. Conewango Twp. Police reported that at 11:34 p.m. on Dec. 21 at Variety Buffet, 2763 Market St., N. Warren, they were dispatched to an alarm. Upon arrival, police found that everything was secured and that the alarm was false. Variety Buffet has had three or more false alarms within a twelve-month period, according to police. The establishment is being charged with one count of false alarms and a non-traffic citation has been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.
Hit and run. Conewango Twp. Police reported that at 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 22 at Warren Mall Parking Lot, an unknown truck struck a 2009 GMC belonging to Jacqueline Gregg while she was parked in front of the main entrance at the Warren Mall. Gregg was in her vehicle at the time of the collision. The suspect vehicle is a pickup truck, dark in color, with possible silver paint transfer on the driver side fender. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at 726-0725.
Deerfield Twp.
Accused murderer. Warren-based state police reported that at 3:03 p.m. on Dec. 20, Randy Lee Poole, 52, Tidioute, accused of murdering Kathleen Sweeney, 66, Tidioute, was released from Hamot Medical Center in Erie. Poole was transported by state police to the Warren barracks where he was processed and video-arraigned before District Magistrate Cindy Lindemuth. He was taken to Warren County jail. There is no bail.
Pittsfield Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police reported that at 7:50 p.m. on Dec. 20, a crash occurred on Route 426, 1,427 feet west of Route 27, when Justin L. Westfall, 29, Corry, driving a 2003 Chevrolet Impala, was traveling westbound on 426 and struck a tree that was blown down in the westbound lane. There were two passengers in the car, Justin L. Bailey, 26, Tionesta, and Randall S. York, Jr., 25, Warren. There were no injuries as a result of the crash.
