North Warren Presbyterian Church will have a Christmas Eve candlelight and communion service beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24. Make it a family tradition to join your friends and neighbors for a celebration of Jesus' birth as we worship together with carols, special music, and the telling of the timeless story of how God's love was sent to earth to save this world. As part of the evening's worship we will join together in sharing the Lord's Supper and a candlelight rendition of Silent Night. Use this as a missional opportunity and invite your family and friends to celebrate our Savior's Birth.

Christmas Eve services will be held with Brokenstraw Lutheran Parish, a family and children communion service at 4 p.m. Monday at Saron Lutheran Church, 148 W. Main St., Youngsville, and a joint candlelight communion service at 9 p.m. at Berea Lutheran Church, Rts. 6 and 958, Pittsfield Township.

St. Luke Catholic Church, 420 N. Main St., Youngsville, will have a 5 p.m. family Mass on Christmas Eve and a 9 a.m. sung Mass on Christmas Day. At St. Anthony Padua Church, Rt. 6, Sheffield, there will be a 7 p.m. family Mass on Christmas Eve.

Emanuel United Church of Christ will have a Christmas Eve service of candle lighting beginning at 8:30 p.m. The service will begin with the lighting of the Christ candle. The Emanuel Choir will provide special anthems, and the Rev. Dan Wolboldt will provide a Christmas message, "Joseph's Love."

Otterbein United Methodist Church, Pittsfield, will have a Christmas Eve services at 6 p.m. and at 8:30 p.m. On Christmas Day, there will be a 9 a.m. service. Pajamas are appropriate attire.

Trinity and St. Francis Episcopal churches will combine efforts and put on two Episcopal services this Christmas Eve. There will be a 5:30 p.m. family service with pageant, held at St. Francis, Youngsville. Then, there will be an 8 p.m. Choral High Mass at Trinity, Warren.

Clarendon Trinity United Methodist Church will have a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 10 p.m.

Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church will have a Christmas Eve service for The Nativity of the Lord with a 5:15 p.m. children's choir prelude, a 5:30 p.m. children's Mass, 11:30 p.m. adult choir prelude and Midnight Mass. There will be Mass at 9 a.m. on Christmas Day.
The Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, will be marked on Dec. 31, New Year's Eve, with a 5:30 p.m. Mass and on Jan. 1, New Year's Day, with a 9 a.m. Mass.

Hessel Valley Lutheran Church in Chandlers Valley will hold a Christmas dawn service (Julotta) at 6:30 a.m. on Christmas morning. The service begins when the world is still dark and ends as the sun is coming up; this signifies the coming of Christ, the Light of the World. Many beloved Christmas carols are included in the service that celebrates, and re-tells the story of Christ's birth. Julotta has come to hold a very special place in the hearts of the worshipers who begin their Christmas morning in this way.
