A day after being named to the AP all-state team for the recently completed 2012 football season, Warren senior Austin Jerman was the lone county selection to the All-District 10 football team, released on Friday.
A total of 18 county athletes from Eisenhower, Youngsville and Warren - including Jerman - were named to the Region 2 and Region 5 all-star teams also released on Friday. Eisenhower led the way with a county-best eight individual selections.

Warren's Austin Jerman
At quarterback, Jerman was second in most major District 10 statistical categories behind Cathedral Prep quarterback - and Michigan State recruit - Damien Terry. Jerman was 146-of-246 for 2,088 yards with 28 TD and eight picks. He finished his career as the most prolific passer in Warren history and was only the second quarterback in D-10 history to throw for over 2,000 yards in a season. He also served as the team's punter.
In addition to his inclusion on the District 10 team, Jerman was a first-team Region 5 selection at both quarterback and defensive back.
Jerman was joined by seven teammates on all-region teams. Three of those were first-teamers, including tight end Mark Davis, wideout Jordan Willetts and linebacker Chris McNeal.

Davis and Willetts shared the team lead in receptions with 40 apiece. Willetts held a slight edge in yardage, 614-556 and in touchdowns, 12-8. Willetts also rushed 25 times for 203 yards with two scores and added five defensive and special teams scores. McNeal was third on the team with 80 tackles and added two sacks and two interceptions.
In addition to his status as a Region 5 first-team all-star, Willetts also earned a second-team selection at defensive back. Mark Cecco and Mike Manderfeld were second-team picks on the offensive line and Warren's leading tackler Matt Falvo (with 93 tackles) was named a second-team linebacker.
The Region 2 all-star teams were loaded with representatives from the Region 2 champion Eisenhower Knights. The Knights had four first-team all-star selections and another four second-team picks.
Perhaps most impressive for the Knights was senior Nathan O'Brien who was named a first-team all-star on offense, defense and special teams. As a wide receiver, O'Brien caught a team-best 28 passes for 667 yards and nine touchdowns - a single season record at Eisenhower. O'Brien was also chosen first team at defensive back with 42 tackles and four interceptions, at punter with 12 punts for 429 yards and at kicker where he was 41 of 55 on extra-point attempts with two field goals - including a long kick of 29 yards.
After breaking Steve Witte's mark for all-time leading rusher and compiling 1,582 yards and 17 touchdowns on the ground, John Pascuzzi was named to the Region 2 first-team at running back. Pascuzzi also caught seven passes for 127 yards. The senior was also named a defensive first-team all-star at defensive back - despite playing the majority of the season at linebacker.
Jake Johnson was named a first-team tight end with five grabs for 116 yards and a rushing touchdown and Alex Johnson was a first-teamer at linebacker with a team-high 147 tackles.
The second-team selections for Ike were led by quarterback Aaron Lundmark who had his best season yet for the Knights. Lundmark completed 61 of 127 passes for 1,161 yards with 13 touchdowns and eight picks. In addition, he ran for four rushing scores.
Joining Lundmark on the second team were defensive lineman Trevor Spicer and offensive linemen Jake Spetz and Jared Flaisman. Spetz was a two-time second-teamer also earning a selection on the defensive line.
Despite having a tough year at 1-9, the Youngsville Eagles were awarded three all-star selections, including first-teamers in linebacker Jordan Gurdak and defensive back Rocco Gatta.
Despite missing much of his senior season with an ACL injury, Gurdak led the team with 65 tackles from his linebacker position and added two sacks. Gatta had a pair of fumble recoveries while also battling injuries and recorded 27 tackles.
Youngsville's lone second-team selection was kicker T.J. Hardy. Hardy was 13 of 18 on extra-point attempts in 2012.
