Dear Editor:
Five of us enjoyed the buffet at the Holiday Inn after church on December 16. As we were preparing to leave, the waitress told us our bill was paid by one of two ladies who had been sitting near the window.
We all remembered seeing them, but we did not know them and they declined to give their names to her.
This kindness has never happened to any of us before and was a wonderful surprise.
Thank you for adding this unexpected cheer to our holiday season. It is nice to know there are still kind people in our town with generous hearts and a wonderful Christmas spirit.
